We do not make decisions about you by automated means alone. Judging is carried out by people.
 

Giving us your entry details is voluntary, but we cannot accept or judge an entry without them. If a finalist or winner declines to provide the verification or payment information we need, we may be unable to award the prize.

 

5. Cookies and similar technologies

This website runs on the Wix platform, which sets a small number of cookies that are necessary for the site and the entry form to work, including session, security and load-balancing cookies. These are strictly necessary, so they are set without asking you first.

We do not run advertising or third party tracking cookies on this site, and we do not build profiles of visitors. If we introduce any non-essential cookie, we will ask for your consent before setting it.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking the essential ones may stop the entry form from working.

6. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for third party advertising.

We do share it with:

• Our website and form platform. Wix.com Ltd and its group companies host this site and receive entry form submissions on our behalf.

• IT, email and storage providers that we use to receive, store and work on entries internally.

• People involved in judging and running the Competition, including our own staff and any contractors, agencies or partners engaged to help review clips, produce content or administer prizes. They are bound by confidentiality.

• Payment, banking and money transfer providers used to pay a cash prize, and identity or eligibility verification providers where we use one.

• Social media platforms, where the interaction is inherently public, such as when we reply to, repost or reference your public post.

• Professional advisers including lawyers, accountants, auditors and insurers, where they need it to advise us.

• Authorities, regulators, courts and other parties where we are required to disclose information by law, or where disclosure is necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal rights.

• A buyer or successor, if the business or the relevant part of it is reorganised, sold or transferred, in which case your information may transfer with it.

Where a provider processes information on our behalf, they act on our instructions under a written contract and cannot use it for their own purposes.

 

7. International transfers

The Competition is open worldwide, so entries reach us from many countries, and some of our providers operate outside the United Kingdom. That means your personal information may be transferred to, stored in or accessed from countries outside the UK and the European Economic Area, including the United States and Israel.

Where we transfer personal information out of the UK or the EEA, we rely on one of the following: a finding by the UK government or the European Commission that the destination country provides adequate protection; the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses; or the Standard Contractual Clauses themselves, together with any additional measures the transfer requires. You can ask us for details of the safeguard used for a particular transfer by emailing privacy@bulkhead.com.

If you enter from outside the UK and the EEA, your information will be handled as described in this policy and will be processed in the United Kingdom.

 

8. How long we keep it

• Entries that are not shortlisted or selected: up to 12 months after the winners are announced, so that we can deal with queries and challenges about the result, then deleted or anonymised.

• Shortlisted and winning entries, and prize records: the entry, the correspondence and the prize documentation are kept for 7 years from the end of the financial year in which the prize was awarded, to meet accounting, tax and audit requirements.

• Verification and payment details: deleted once the prize has been paid and any applicable retention requirement has passed.

• Marketing consents and preferences: for as long as you are subscribed, plus a record of your opt-out so that we do not contact you again.

• Website server logs: normally no more than 12 months.

• Anything relevant to an actual or threatened claim: until the matter and any appeal period is finished.

 

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;

• have inaccurate information corrected;

• ask us to delete information we no longer need;

• ask us to restrict how we use it while a question about it is resolved;

• object to us using it where we rely on legitimate interests, and object at any time to direct marketing;

• receive certain information in a portable form, or have it sent to another provider;

• withdraw consent where we rely on consent, without affecting anything done before you withdrew it.

To exercise any of these, email privacy@bulkhead.com. We will respond within one month, and will tell you if we need longer because the request is complex. We may need to confirm your identity first. There is no charge unless a request is excessive or repetitive.

Some requests affect your entry. If you ask us to delete your entry details or withdraw the permissions the Competition depends on before judging is complete, we will not be able to keep you in the Competition.

If you are in the United Kingdom, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk, by phone on 0303 123 1113, or in writing to Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF. We would ask you to raise it with us first so that we have a chance to put it right.

If you are in the European Economic Area, you can complain to the data protection authority in your country of residence, work or the place where the issue arose.

If you are elsewhere, including the United States, you can raise a complaint with us at privacy@bulkhead.com and with your local privacy or consumer protection regulator if your country has one. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising or targeted advertising.

 

10. Children

The Competition is only open to entrants who meet the minimum age set out in the Competition Terms and Conditions. This site is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone below that age. If you believe a child has submitted an entry or given us their details, email privacy@bulkhead.com and we will delete the information and remove the entry.

 

11. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including access controls, encryption of data in transit, and limiting internal access to entry and prize information to the people who need it. No system is completely secure, and information you post publicly on a social platform is, by definition, public. Please do not send us identity or payment details unless we have asked you for them.

 

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy, for example if the Competition changes or if we start using a new provider. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. Where a change materially affects how we use your information, we will take reasonable steps to tell entrants directly.
